It has been decided by my attorney that I can afford to pay 100% of my debt. So once my plan is approved and I start paying my trustee, can I get a part-time job to try to make ends meet? I don't see being able to make it with what my payment is going to be. My proposed payment is $1340 a month.

Since you're on a 100% payback plan - getting a part-time job shouldn't be a problem but I would still notify your attorney just to keep them in the loop.
The problem with an increase in income becomes a problem usually when it's over 10% and when you're NOT on a 100% payback. It's assumed that if you're making more money than you were when you filed - then your creditors can get paid more.
But if you're worried about the feasibility of your plan - have you talked to your attorney about those concerns being able to afford the proposed plan payment?
It shouldn't be necessary to get a part-time job to fund your plan unless you're just wanting to have more extra cash each month.

In your budget, did you include yearly expenses that aren't paid monthly? Things like car maintenance, home maintenance, enough medical to cover eye dr., dental, sick & well visits? What is it in your budget exactly that you don't think you can handle? Maybe your attorney just doesn't have an accurate budget for you, and it can be amended?
Ch.13 does require a lifestyle change though. You will need to learn to live within your means, and learn the difference between wants vs. needs.
That said, if you do continue on in the 100% payback plan, I don't think a part-time job will be an issue, but do advise your attorney of the increase in income...Filed Chapter 13 on 2-28-10. 341 completed 4/14/10. Confirmed 5/14/10. Lien strip granted 2/2/11
0% payback to unsecured creditors, 56 payments down, 4 to go....
