Halfway there!! Have Questions.

We are 30 months into a 60 month plan, with 100% payback. Trustee just raised our payment to 1800 a month, which was expected.Our trustee has told us to use the website..Trustee13.com to get any info on our payments and such. I do have a few questions..so hope somebody can shed some light on them.
1. We bought a car in Sept 2005 and financed it for 5 years. So normally it would be paid off this September right? However on the website it shows us still owing $8,000 on it..and the trustee makes the same amount of payment we did before we filed. We were only behind one payment and that is when we first filed and Atty told us not to pay it. So does this mean it will not be paid off in September? If by chance it is paid off when do we get title? No, I don't want to buy another car right now..but figured that trustee could use that payment on something else.

2. Citifinancial is holding a title to a truck (that no longer runs) but they did not file a claim. (Which I thought was kinda strange). Can we request the title? Or will they keep it for the duration of the case? Even tho' it doesnt run..I need to get it out of the yard. We have someone wanting to buy it for the parts (that do work)..but we are afraid to sell it with no title.

Ok, think that is it for now...sorry this post is so long. I hate to call and ask Atty, he charges us everytime we call him. Trustee told us about 2 years ago that she thinks we may be able to get out of this early...I hope so. The payments we are paying her now are more then what we would have been paying if we hadn't filed!! Can't wait for this to be over!! Thanks!!

Can I ask where in Tennessee you are? We filed for chapter 13 04/26 and have our 341 on 06/08, and was wondering what to expect. We also have a vehicle through our plan , which will be paid about halfway through the plan. I was also wondering if your payment raises everytime you get a raise, or a bonus. I usually get a small Christmas bonus It is usually less than 1000 dollars after taxes and is not guaranteed.

I am in Northeast Tn ,with 17 months left.I have had a raise or two and a bonus or two.There have been no increases to the trustee.It would probably have to be a significant amount before they would want an increase.I am at 100 percent payback so as long as everyone who filed a claim gets all their money ,i dont think the trustee cares

Our payment hasn't really went up that much. Only reason it went up this time is because we paid off Rent a Center on our own and that was the payment. Hubby gets some bonuses, and so far we have kept them. (Guess because they are not guaranteed) I also use the " If they don't ask..I don't tell" policy. Which may be wrong..but I try to look out for emergencies. Such as car repairs, sickness, etc. Still waiting to get some feedback from this forum regarding our car. Good luck in your plan...it's not easy..gotta learn to cut back on alot of spending. Thank goodness for Kmart and their lay away plan!! LOL!! You will also find that this forum is the best thing around..gives you alot of info and help!!
