Ok, so what happens now?
Mortgage objected to confirmation due to arrears calculation. Off by $1726. This was supposed to be fixed back in March. Paralegal assured me it was fixed. WAS NOT. GRRRR, stupid me.
Mortgage lawyer and our lawyer went to confirmation. Objection by mortgage was sustained. Deadline to file objection was 4/22. They filed 5/4. Oh well, neither here nor there.
What is to go on now? Lawyer was supposed to call me yesterday and did not.
I found out about this via PACER this morning. There is a whole breakdown of fees. Here are a couple I found interesting.
1. court order for vehicle search (2) $10. WTH!!???!!!!
2. Post petition filing of objection: $300 (fabulous)
3. National Locator: $35
4. Foreclosure filing fee: $750
There are more. Ultimately, there is a $1726 difference in the arrears I put down and what they have. We have paid in 4 months now. So, divide it by 56 months the difference and I need to increase payment $32/month. This could have been fixed in MARCH and avoid the $300 fee that the mortgage company was more than happy to tack on. Feel like telling the lawyer, they screwed up. So, they need to pay the $300 objection filing fee.
