Is State Disibility Insurance considered income?

Hey all again,
Another question :-). I was off work for approxiamately 5 weeks (within the last 6 months) receiving State Disability in conjuction with work sick leave. I live in California. Is the disability portion considered income?

My husband receives disability from the state of Ohio, and yes, it was considered when determining our plan payments, but in his case it's a regular ongoing monthly payment.
