monthly medicial expenses more than stated

So, I have some chronic health issues. When we did our plan I accounted for what I spent at that time, monthly (medcine co-pays ect), since we filed a few other meds have been added and I'm finding that I'm not taking meds as I should and I'm picking and choosing the ones I can get as money allows. Is there anything I can do or am I just *OL?
Filed August 09, all payments made as of July 12th, 2013.....Waiting on final audit and discharge!

The first thing to do is let your doctor know that you are skipping medications and why. Many times he/she can help by prescribing less expensive generic medications, can give you office samples to help out, or depending on the medications involved, can get you in touch with the right pharma companies - some have special programs to help folks pay for the medications they can't afford.

If you talk to your doctor and there's nothing he/she can do, then it's time to talk to your lawyer. Lay out your changed medical circumstances. See if it's possible to have your plan amended to accommodate the new medication expenses.

The worst thing you can do is to do nothing. You have alternatives - you just have to make them happen.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
