    confused on rent

We are in the process of trying to file 13. The IRS rent utilities allowance is far less than we are paying, and as a result the required monthly payments are going to give us no relief whatsoever.
We cannot afford to move because we just paid a down pmt to the attny. (regretting that)
Also my hubby has been on unemployment and his benefits are ending now. No way to know when he will find a job, as the last time he was out 18months thanks to this economy, and his age.

Can either of these items be adjusted for submission to the trustee?

There is a home energy "expense" line item on Form B22C (Means Test for Chapter 13). It allows you to exceed the local standards by providing documentation.
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

Any advice provided is not legal advice, but simply the musings of a fellow bankrupt.

I assumed that was just for utilities, and the standard is a little lower than actual for my county, but would that also apply to the rent?
