    Woo! Confirmed at last!

Just checked the court calendar for today which is my confirmation hearing and I see "Trustee recommends confirmation" !

There was an objection after the initial hearing on 2/23, but that was only pending receipt of my 2009 tax return, which they have received and now looks like it will be confirmed!

I've been sticking to my budget and it is a bit excruciating, but I'll manage to get through barring any unforeseen circumstances. I never took vacations anyhow, so it's not like I'm missing out on anything. My only hope is that I'll actually be able to put enough away for my wife and I to at least buy ourselves a Christmas present this year.

You can do it. The first few months are the hardest but then you get accustomed to it. I would suggest opening a Holiday/Christmas club account with your bank if they offer it. I put $25 from each biweekly check (I've chiseled quite a bit out of my monthly budget by cutting non-essentials, using coupons) into the account and have about 500 come November for my family. I started on a 36 month plan, congrats on that.. You said you'd manage "barring any unforeseen." For me, that was a lay-off and a new baby. I was able to modify only because I was on the 36 month plan and they were able to extend it. Count your blessings. You will make it through the next 3 years fine!
Disclaimer: Young, NOT Dumb.(._.) The plan: $480 monthly for 60 months at 100%. 07/12/08
