Creditors most likely to file a claim

I'm looking for experiences here. I checked Pacer today to see which, if any, of my creditors have already filed a claim. There were 4 so far. Discover was the first. Shocker. They are the ones that threatened to sue me and the woman I talked to on the phone was a monster. Not surprised by that one at all. FIA was also there, but none of my other BoA accounts are yet. There are a couple of others that called the crap out of me, but have not filed a claim as of today. Just curious, are there certain creditors that are more likely to file a claim than others?

i believe your creditors have about 3 months to file a claim. the creditors who kepp calling should stop once you provide them with the case # and your attorney info.

I realize they still have plenty of time. I'm just hoping some of them don't file claims (don't we all?) and wondering what the experiences out there are like. None of them are still calling, I meant there were some that called me a ton before I filed.

Chase and Discover right off the bat filed. No medical have come through yet. But, they still have plenty of time.

That's just the sort of luck I have, so I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that happens to me!

No one can say who will or who will not file a claim. Expect all of them to file as that is most always the situation in today's economy.

All of my various creditors filed claims, with the notable exception of most of my Citi card accounts.

All of mine filed claims. Most though filed claims right away. Some where sent to junk debt buyers so I assume it took them a while to get the paperwork to the correct place.

Nothing happens, until there is money to be distributed. If they claim they can get a piece, either full payment (secured claim, roughly speaking) or prorated (unsecured claim).
                        No claim, no payment.

                          hi,catleg
Thanks for your answer. So if they file a claim, it doesn't mean our payment would change or anything like that?
Sorry to sound repetitive, just very nervous about this whole thing.
                          thanks again.

My car financed with Honda Financed didn't file a claim. I have two cards with over 7k each on both thru USAA and they didn't file. Those were the big ones for me that didn't. I have a bunch of small loans locally and they all filed. The time is up so no one can file a claim.
