Well my house situation is why i am on this board. i have very little debt other than my house which is about 50-60k underwater on the 1st and a heloc of 20k. the neighborhood is bad now and i dont feel safe here and need to move but would have to short sell. i do not want to have to pay the bank the deficiency and need a lawyer that knows what he is doing to prevent that from happening. i also see no reason to ever file for bk if im still going to have to pay back 100% of the deficiency if wells fargo comes after me. basically i just want rid of the home and not getting stuck paying back the underwater difference to the bank. forget that. those fools are the ones that caused my neighborhood to go bad in the first place by giving loans to illegals and deadbeats so they have gotten all from me that they are going to get. any advice for me? thanks!
