Our hearing on extending time to cure is in 1 week. Naturally, we have not heard a peep from our attorney's office. DH spoke to his uncle, who - turns out- knows a couple bankruptcy attorneys, and is going to get us some information (best case scenario a complete case review) as to how to proceed. Modification could work. Conversion to a 7 may also be an option, since a new Means Test would be needed (correct??) and I think ours could show a different outcome than last time with our expense/income changes. I'm hoping for some encouraging news as we are ready to just dismiss it and tackle the IRS debt ourselves, give back the car, and handle the unsecured debts if & when they become a problem. (Honestly, still can't believe I'm still waiting to speak with our attorney about our plan modification).
