You are having a baby or your wife is?

Why do you have home repair if you rent?

Auto repair for $100 in addition to transportation of $430 may be a little steep unless you live WAY out in the sticks.
Pay no attention to anything I post. I graduated last in my class from a fly-by-night law school that no longer exists; I never studied or went to class; and I only post on internet forums when I'm too drunk to crawl away from the computer.

Home maintenance(upkeep, cleaning supplies, etc) Attorney put down $25 when I was single and yes we live out in the sticks. With two vehicles that get 15 and 19 mpg, gas goes through fast.

Don't forget to estimate baby forumula, diapers, etc. Those items alone add up quite quickly. My son and his wife who have a 1 year old baby estimated that for the first year of his life it was approximately $180 a month for those needs, and they know how to bargain shop! If you try to squeeze the baby needs in to your grocery budget you will have very little left for you and your wife.
