    Should I do it?

We haven't received NOD yet, but we stopped paying 11 months ago and filed ch13 about 8 months ago. My dh got a new job about 45 miles away and has been commuting. We REALLY want to move closer to his work so we can have more family time with him. We found an awesome rental in a great area that we'd love to live in and they are willing to rent to us even with the bk, and upcoming foreclosure. We LOVE the location of the home and everything about it, including the rent price per month.

Should we do it or wait for the NOD and save more money? I'm so torn. I just want to move on and walk away from this mess but part of me (the "new" penny pincher part) thinks I should stay. My dh is in the same boat as me and here we sit in our home, rent free...at least for another 3 months.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

I think I would stay for as long as possible.

So, I assume you "surrendered" the house with the 13? Wow...I am surprised how long you have been able to stay!

However - I just noticed some old posts of yours and it sounds like you had difficulty finding a good rental in a neighborhood you want to live in....

Yes, we did "surrender." We stopped paying 5/09 on 1st and 4/09 on 2nd. Filed 7/09. 3 year 13.
