Effect of walking away on chapter 13 bankruptcy

I have been on a 100% payment plan on a chapter 13 bankruptcy for almost 2 years now. I have been thinking of walking away from my mortgage which is underwater by $100,000 to $120,000. I have never been late on my monthly mortgage payments. Will walking away affect my chapter 13 bankruptcy? Dismissal or modification of my payment plan?

We're in the same situation -- I contacted our attorney last week. He said that as long as we are in a 100% payback plan and don't miss any of our Chapter 13 payments, our Chapter 13 won't be affected at all.

Is there any past mortgage payments in the plan - not sure if that makes a difference or not. I would be interested to know if that would make a difference or not. Anyone know?
