here is my question... we need a new car.. have the option at a buy here pay here place.. who does not pull credit to buy just have to show proof of income and have down payment..

do I have to ask for trustee permsission??
we are done with a 5 yr plan in May 2010

Yes. You need to file a motion to incur debt with the court.

I would say ask the Trustee, as I have been told I can use credit up to $5000.00 without permission. I was told this directly from the Trustee

If you are in a Chapter 13 you have to ask the trustee for approval to incur any additional debt or liability.

Ideally I would like to not even consider doing ANYTHING untill we are done wich is just in a few short months!!!

but already having to have work done on the vehicle. so who knows what will happen...
