Chapter 13 property insurance settlement

I am getting ready to file chapter 13. I am in the process of an insurance claim with my insurance company on my vacation home for some damage due to water. Will the trustee take this claim money therefore leaving me without any ability to repair my home? The initial adjustor estimate was $8,300.00 but the contractors bids I have been getting are closer to $37,000. (The initial adjustor came out before the remediation was done and did not know the full extend of damage.) Help!
