I'm in a Chapter 13 and spend alot of time on the forum trying to make sure I'm doing everything right and to get my questions answered. The main reason is because the law office charges fee's whenever they can. Sadly, I tried to stay ahead of the game and know the fee ahead of time. Well, I decided that I'd ask my questions and found out the following.
1.) I can marry anyone I want to and it does not affect my payment.
2.) No budget for my district.
3.) I can live anywhere I want to as long as I pay my payment and keep my address current. My law office does that for free.
4.) I can only pay my plan off at 100% and I can do that 6 months after confirmation. I can never pay off early at less than 100%, but that's o.k.
5.) I can try for an FHA loan since I have never had a foreclosure after one year of payments on time.
6.) I keep my tax refunds, if any.
I am very happy to hear that I can earn more and try to rebuild my life. I don't need credit until I can manage it and the next four or five years will allow me to learn to live on a realistic budget. For me, I feel I can rebuild my life now. I think that is what bankruptcy is all about.
Each district is different and by reading the forum, which was not district specific, it made me worry about things that are not important in my case but could be specific had I lived in another district or different part of my own state.
