I was wondering if you always have to have your wage garnished? Can you pay the trustee directly yourself? I don't want my wage garnished in my chapter 13 because I am afraid somehow my employer will use this against me.

I am in Houston, TX and my trustee almost requires payroll deduction. I can say that your employer is really not allowed to use this against you. When I told my mom that I was filing and how worried I was about the payroll people knowing about it, she assured me that most have had their fair share of experience with bankruptcy these days... and if they haven't they've at least thought about it.Disclaimer: Young, NOT Dumb.(._.) The plan: $480 monthly for 60 months at 100%. 07/12/08
Motion to Discharge: FILED!! 08/07/13
60 down/0 to go \m/(*.*)\m/ 100% complete!
