Confirmed after 1 year

Finally, almost 13 months after filing, our Chapter 13 plan was confirmed. It sure is nice getting past the endless objections and continuences and have a plan that we can work to. Now my attorney just needs to clean up a few details such as objecting to a creditor to filed their clam 6 months after the deadline.

Congrats on your confirmation! It took us 15 months after filing to get confirmed, so I know how that endless waiting feels. However, after our confirmation, it's been delightfully boring so far! We just keep making our payments to our trustee on time every month - only 16 months left for us now. Hope the same happens for you too!

Thanks for all the congratulations. It was amazing how long things took - every time we filed a response to an objection it took weeks to get a response from the Trustee. I am told the caseload here has doubled in the last year so I can understand but the endless postponements were disheartening.

It is hard to wait when this is my only bankruptcy while the trustee has hundreds and my lawyer has dozens underway.

Thanks again and I now can start counting down the months.
