Ch. 13 and stocks...

I have about 15k in stock that was willed to me by my Grandfather. How will that effect or work in with filing a Ch. 13? My intention is to just pass that along to my daughter, but I am afraid that I will have to forfeit it.

Stock is an asset. You will need to determine its actual value and discuss with your attorney. It doesn't matter what your intention is, if you plan to file within the next year do not transfer the stock until you discuss with a BK attorney. Best of luck to you.
