If we were to file for 13, they would look back at our income over the past 6 months right? Yet, would they also look back at our savings/checking acct. for the previous 6 months? Or do they only look at this once you file. For example if DH deposited money from a side job into our account now. Would they ask us about this if we filed in the spring...say March? Would it affect how much they require us to pay out? The work was temporary. What about debit card activity? We are only considering filing but I do not want to make any choices that will make the future more difficult. Thanks in advance.

Yes they might. I had to come up with print outs for my lawyer. I used quicken ans sorted out all my utilities and insurances and all that as well. The Trustee could ask for your six month cash flow.
It would be best to go cash. I am not implying not addressing your income when filing, but if this is a small amount and temporary, I would live off of it and keep your checking account looking little used and poor. That is my opinion and I do not profess to know too much about C13. 'HubIf I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.
