New here-filing Chapter 13

I am new here to the forum and just met with our attorney today who we will be retaining at the end of the week. Wondering if anyone has any insight they can provide in regards to the process and what we should be expecting, we are in Michigan.

Also does the pit in the bottom of your stomach ever go away?
We are trying very hard to get us out of the situation I have put us into and it just feels never ending.

Any help, insight, support would be appreciated.

We have several MI members who filed Ch 13. Also there are a goodly number of threads here in the Ch 13 forum area about what members have experienced filing in MI - a search for Michigan 13 should unearth most of them.

Also does the pit in the bottom of your stomach ever go away?

Yes, it does. But it usually takes most 13 filers awhile to settle down because our process tends to be a more bumpy, much longer ride than Ch 7s. Getting your plan confirmed will help a lot.

You are doing what you need to do to end it - you are filing Ch 13. Good for you! You aren't hiding from the truth any longer. That's really admirable, so give yourself and your spouse a pat on the back for refusing to be a slave to your debt any longer and wanting to do better going forward.
