    New Computer

We are planning to file 13 because we are working and I would like to pay my bills back.

BUT, we also do layout and design (we didn't make any money this year but have in years past) and I also do computer repair at home for work and sometimes on the side.

We just replaced one failed computer that was about 8 years old in March but we have another "Internet" computer that is about 5 years now and I worry that it will not survive during the 5 year 13 plan.

Is it okay to get new refurbished one with Dell and reaffirm the debt so we can keep it?

    What are your thoughts?

I am also a computer tech, and IT specialist (before my retirement). Why not just build one? You can buy a case with PS one week. Motherboard and cpu another week and so on. I am sure you have a copy of XP pro. You can purchase computers dirt cheap and build them cheaper than a Dell that is a very expensive item.

I saw at a Office Depot a special of one new computer, floor sample without monitor for $250 complete with warranty. You can't buy the parts for that price. There will be other bargains out there too as Windows 7 comes out on new pre-loaded machines. I would not even consider financing a computer. Like a car, they lose value instantly once purchased. My opinion, you asked. 'Hub
