    Earthquake Insurance

Has anyone in Southern California used earthquake insurance as an allowable expense? Would it be a problem trying to use it as an expense?

Part of the answer to your question is if you have had earthquake insurance in place for a while and not just obtained it prior to filing. I believe this type of insurance was discussed in the past here on this forum - did you do a search?

Thanks for the reply. Actually wanted to hear if anyone out there had used it as an expense. As you know many people say go and get insurance ( life, disability, earthquake). I figured if one was to go out and get these coverages say 6 months prior to filing would there be a problem? If someone stops paying unsecured 6 months prior to filing and then has the ability to pay the insurances would it be allowed?
