    Strange question from Attorney

I just got a call from my attorney. I received a bonus in 2009, and am expected to get one in 2010. I was asked if I received one in 2008, and if I didn't why not. I just thought it was odd. I am due for confirmation on 12/14 and I am totally freaking out over every little thing. I just want to make my payments and get on with life.

Just a wild guess on my part but maybe if you did not get a bonus in 2008 it makes it more random and thus not necessarily assumed that there is a bonus received every year. If you did receive a bonus in 2008 it is more likely to be viewed as a "given" annual event.

Thank you. That would make sense, because I was employed with the same employer and did not get the bonus in 2008, but did in 2009 and will in 2010. LOL, sometimes I need a "calm" set of eyes looking at things.

And what he will probably do if the trustee has heartburn about those bonuses, is to add that amount to your income. That's what happened to me with my tax refunds, they were added to my income.

Only problem with that is, I will not get a refund this tax year, so it really just made it look like I had more disposable income than I really do.
