Interesting Call from my Lawyer today

I received a call that I wasn't expecting today. My lawyer's office called and said that they are wanting to meet with all of their chapter 13 clients to just touch base to make sure things are going ok in the plan so far. I asked if there was something red flagged by the trustee. The response was no that they just want to check to make sure there is nothing going on in each clients plan that the trustee might nit pick at. Interesting! I have been in my plan for over a year now.

    Any thoughts?

You either have a very thorough, pro-active attorney, or there is something up. Hopefully it's the former!
Haven't heard from my attorney since the confirmation, but it has been smooth sailing so far, 14 months down.

I asked on the phone if there was something up and they said no and she kind of laughed and said that is the same thing that the last client said. They said they are doing this with all clients. Weird...I am nervous though!

I would be grateful for having that attorney.

Sounds like they are going well above and beyond. I would also refer them to anyone and everyone, which I am also sure is their hope.

Good attorney, good marketing, and thoroughly practicing.

As long as you stay up to date on your payments there isn't a need for contact from your attorney. I send Christmas cards, but that is about it.
I am a Pennsylvania Eastern and Middle District Bankruptcy, FDCPA, FCRA and Foreclosure Defense attorney, information I post is based on experience in these districts. It is not legal counsel, consider it friendly counsel.

Their office must have started something to ensure their BK 13 clients keep on track with their Plans and they probably have a lot of calls with questions and are doing face-to-face meetings to avoid issues/problems. My thoughts are that if they have a lot of clients, they must have a lot of free office time to do this as usually a simple phone call to each client would work just as well. So in plain words to me, what's up?
