    Waiting in Pittsburgh

I was able to get my attorney to stop my payments in June 09 due to my plan base being paid in full. The first week of September I got the letter from the trustee saying that my case has been completed and they are going to make "final disbursements". 2 weeks later they made a $97 payment to the creditor that according to the 13 datacenter was still owed money. Now I am waiting. They have in excess of $8000 on hand. I have exchanged e-mails with my attorney multiple times and can never get a straight answer. My first question is what exactly happens from the final disbursements to discharge? My next question is for anyone in the Pittsburgh region. My attorney tells me that there is a backlog, but that my case should have been discharged by now and promises to make calls on my behalf, but never makes the calls. Has anyone else here waited this long? I have tried to contact the trustee before and they tell me that since I am represented by counsel to talk to my attorney. Should I call them and try to get an update?

Well--I'm no longer waiting. The day after I posted this thread I got word from my attorney that I will be discharged within 2 weeks. I got my refund check in the mail today. Good luck to all and thanks to all those who offered me advice here.

Yes they did. The thing that sucks about it is that I did my own personal review of my case about 1 year ago. I should have been done then thanks to multiple creditors not filing. I told my attorney that on 3 different occasions and he promised to look into it. He never did and I was correct. Oh well, water under the bridge. This makes a great new start for me and rest assured the refund will be spent and saved wisely, although I do have to buy myself a nice TV.
