IRS Tax Question

I plan on filing 13 next wk. All of the credit is in my name however my wife who stays at home is on the tax return. If I included my taxes with the 13 will this force us to file jointly? I called my lawyer on friday but he did not respond yet.

First, you have no choice but to include the taxes, you must list all debt. In fact, YOU WANT to include the taxes. And no, it does not force a joint filing. So long as the taxes are being paid, or if they are dischargeable, you should be fine.
