chap 7 may not go thru..chap 13?

any have any experience with chap 7 being denied and had to file chap 13? i got a letter of presumed abuse on chap 7 with no reason and looks like i may have to file chap 13.

abuse doesn't happen for "no" reason so the trustee must have found assets. You can convert anytime to avoid repercussions from the court.

the reason is probably that you failed the means test.

How did your schedules I and J look? Did they show disposable income?

When did you get the letter? Before your 341? How long before? I think if your over the median, there`s an automatic presumption of abuse. Maybe others will chime in on this.
