Does anyone know whether the normal pactice for PA filers is to have a wage attachment for their trustee payments? I work in my company's payroll dept and would be very embarrassed if everyone at work knew my situation.

Wage attachment for CH 13 Payment in PA

I am western PA (Pittsburgh Area) and my attorney told me the trustee would want a wage attachment. Look around on this site because I believe I read somewhere that your attorney can request not to have it done if there are special circumstances. Yours sound like one to me but thats just an opinion...Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones

Jammed. I just went under : google and typed in western pa bankruptcy court and there website came up... I dont hve time right now to look thru there to see what it says but maybe it u go there it will give u insight on what/how it works. To the OP...Mention your concerns to your attorney. There are times you may be allowed to send in a cashiers check to the Trustee if there are special circumstances or concerns; if you feel this could hurt your job in some way especially in the Dept. in which you work, ask your attorney if a wage order can be avoided in any way. I interviewed for and started a new job after our filing; I too was concerned about a wage order as it would come out of my pay since my hubby lost a huge paying job the prior year and was working a minimum wage job at the time. I spoke with my attorney (a wage order was required by our district) and we got out of it. It doesn't hurt to try if you feel it will hurt your job or cause issues on the job._________________________________________
