Got my discharge paper but have question!!

I am officially done! My case closed on 8/6/09, got my refund 8/21/09 and discharge paper signed 9/3/09 and in my hand on 9/8/09!!

I do have a question. I would love to be able to refinance my mortgage to get a better interest rate. I am currently paying 6.5%; does anyone think I have any chance at all in getting a lower rate after just completing a Chapter 13?

    Thanks.

      First, congratulations.

Second, there are FHA refinance programs for Chapter 13 debtors, and since you made it through, you probably qualify. Hopefully, you maintained all your other credit obligations well during your chapter 13 and have no other credit tradeline issues. I'd go to your favorite Bank and ask about FHA programs they may participate in.
      Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
