I claimed Chapter 13 last year. I chose to stay in my house (house #1), so I am paying the normal mortgage plus the monthly Trustee payment. When I filed, I had an additional house that I gave up with the bankruptcy. That house (HOUSE #2) had a second mortgage. They forclosed on it and it has already been sold to someone for $56,000. I owed $202,000 on it and had a second mortgage for $30,000. I have not heard anything from the bank that owned 1st mortgage on house #2 , so I assume it is over and done with. However, I still get statements from the second mortgage on house #2. What happens to that second mortgage? Can they come after me later?

No. The only thing they can do is submit an unsecured claim to your case. They should not be billing you. Ask your attorney to send them a letter informing them of the Bankruptcy and that they should stop.Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
