I had my meeting this afternoon with an attorney and decided to retain him. I had to pay him $100 today to start the paperwork and I can now forward all of my creditors to him.
I asked him what happens with the stipends from my financial aid. - He said I get to keep it since it's part of the loan and I will be using it for books and school supplies.
Since I received a chapter 7 discharge in 2006 my chapter 13 will be non dischargeable..which is fine with me, I just need some temporary relief of getting these creditors off my back so I can concentrate on my masters.
I'm just really nervous about not being to have money incase my car or something breaks down. He said he trys to leave a little room for emergencies. But I also noticed he rounded up everytime he asked what a monthly expense was. For instance I said my cell phone was $75 a month and he would put $100.
This is so nerver racking..ugh
