creditor did not file proof of claim

Long story short. My son's ortho did not file a "proof of claim" according to trustee's office today. My atty tried explaining to them last year they needed to file a claim or dentist wouldn't get paid.

So since dentist did not file claim, does that mean I don't have to pay the $1,900.00, and they can't come after me after discharged from 13?

Yes, they are out of luck on the $$. There was one poster on here that didn't have one creditor file a claim (very rare I've heard)! She didn't have to pay anything back (she was a ch 13) and was waiting for discharge!
