    Scheduling of Confirmation Hearing...

    Hello,

I have a question for the group:

    I filed about a week ago and will be trying to save my house under that plan. I just got in the mail some papers from Bankruptcy court that says;

"It appearing that it would be in the best interests of the creditors and the estate to hold the confirmation hearing in this case on a date earlier than 20 days after the date of the meeting of creditors under section 341(a).

It is ordered the hearing on confirmation shall be held not less than 14 days nor more than 19 days after the date of the meeting of creditors in this case."

Is this something I should be worried about or is this just par for the course?

    Thanks all!

A question first.....did you file your 13 with a lawyer or file the 13 on your own without a lawyer (pro se)?
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

    06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
    06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
    07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
    09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
    08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

    10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

Then your lawyer is the best source for an accurate interpretation of what this actually means in your case. He/she is most familiar with the customs of your local bk court and Ch 13 trustee.

I haven't seen anyone post a notice like this one here in the forums before. From the way it reads, it sounds like it could be just a procedural thing and the court is trying to speed up confirming Ch 13 cases that the trustee has no objections about. Again, ask your lawyer about this.
