Gathering Information-What a pain!

WOW, we have been working on for the past 2 evenings, making phone calls to creditors to get acct#s, balances, and names of collection agencies. They do not make this an easy task! For one bill I think I've talked to 6 different people and still don't have the information I need. I'll be making more calls today and I'm sure tomorrow. I trying to get this all taken care of and mail all my paperwork by Saturday to the lawyer. Then making my final payment on August 14th to file. I will be SO GLAD when this is over.

BTW, can someone remind me how the 3-5 years of payments is determined?

It is based on your disposable income after the means test. In other words after all your acceptable living expenses are paid how much is left to go to creditors.

I have to agree that just getting everything together was one of the most stressful parts of the process. But we did it - finally. Try not to let it get to you.
