Hello,
I posted an earlier thread about getting a significant increase in income in January. I know I need to report this increase to my attorney and then refigure my plan payment. Every day it is looking more and more like this promotion will in fact happen...
However in the last couple of days, my husband's work is cutting back hours for him and his job is seasonal for this part of the country (landscaping). What I was wondering is if they look at our income as a joint amount (we filed together and used both incomes) or at each income individually? If my husband's job gets cut enough and my income increase combined is still under the 10 percent increase we were told to report, do you think I will need to modify my plan? BTW, my husband's income has gone down 20 percent over the last two years and we are really wondering how long the business will be afloat. We're thinking about using this time during our plan to change his career type to something that has more of a future (i.e. mechanic, OTR truck driver, etc.) What do you all think about that?
I'm just looking ahead and trying to plan what is best for my family in the years ahead while still completing the CH13 per the guidelines.
