Mortgage Lender to pull Credit Report

Hey! Quick question. I'm in Chapter 13, my husband is not. We're trying to get a FHA loan with using his name only when it comes to credit, or mortgage rather. The mortgage lender still needs to pull my credit to see our overall debt. I have no problem with him needing to do that, but will it raise a red flag to the Trustee's office? Does the trustee's office pull our credit reports from time to time? Our current rent is $1100 and we're just trying to get in a home we own for the same amount or hopefully less payment. The end result would be my husband has the mortgage on his credit and nothing on mine, expect a 'inquiry'.

Think this will hurt my case?

    Thanks!

The Trustee's office doesn't pull reports. However, the FHA lender may see you're in a Chapter 13 and contact the Trustee. You may want to contact your attorney to tell her what you're doing and whether it needs to be disclosed to the Trustee. Generally speaking, you are not allowed to take on new debt (as you already know that).

However, without context, it could appear to the Trustee that you are trying to obtain credit.
