Info packet turned in, now what?

I'm assuming at some point the big plan is put together about how my attorney is going to handle this case, then I can review it and either accept it or walk away from my money.

Seems simple. Car, truck, computer, printer, desk, chair, personal effects, no income, thats it. It's not like I have three houses and IRA's and tax debt.
How long does it generally take to hear back from a competant lawfirm after turning in the paperwork?

I turned in my paperwork on a Thursday evening and had everything ready to file the following week. This was one of the questions I asked the 6 attorneys I interviewed, "how long AFTER I turn in the paperwork will you have the case ready?" Most responded that it would take a MONTH!!! I guess law firms are really swamped right now.

In so-cal they are swamped (like Liz said). I turned in my packet in mid-may with hopes of reviewing the paperwork end of june and an early july filing.

I guess to cut to the point I'll say that this is the lawyer that wants me to do a no income 13.
I'm wondering if I should pull out now and see if I can get my money back, or wait to see what his ingenius plan is for this. If he's going to fight to keep the money or flat out not give it back I think I should make him at least earn it and hear him out.

I want to ask for it back before he has a chance to do anything because I know the more time he puts in the more my money is gone for good.

I've read a lot about this and see people converting from 13 to 7, maybe this was his plan, I get the feeling he was more or less thinking out loud during the consultation, and what I heard might end up being 100% different than what actually happens.

Think theres a chance I can get my money back at this point?
What are my options if this guys plan is wacked out, just not take it, walk away and lose the money right?
