    I must be doing something wrong....

    I did the means test, from the member of this board. I know that we don't qulaify for ch 7, however for ch 13, the end of the test says over 60 months we have a disposeable net income of $106,000 =$1766 a month

    How is this possible when we are going negative by over $2000 every month? We're not out shopping either, it's basic living expenses and debt payments.

    Can anyone let me know if I'm doing something wrong?

    That's because it does not include the unsecured debt that you owe. What you have left over is what goes to pay those unsecured debts. But that's just the means test, once you figure out your other monthly expenses, everything, that DMI should be lower.

        Why if they are going to be discharged?
        May 2008 Hired 1st Attorney/Stopped paying CCs
        May 21, 2009 Retained 2nd Attorney
        May 28th - Filed for Ch 7 (FINALLY!)
        9/11/09 - DISCHARGED!!!!

              Ok, I did the means test on legal consumer.com and it came back different. So now I'm doing it right. thanks!

                Great! What did your DMI end up being?!?
