Hi, I finally had my 341 meeting and it went great. I was never asked for my social security or id. He only asked a few questions like what our house was worth, were we caught up on taxes and asked to see our 2008 tax returns. He never asked for any bank or credit card statements, neither did my lawyer. He didnt ask why we were in debt, nothing, it was so simple. He said he would recommend our plan for confirmation. Is that a good thing and will the judge go along with him? Thanks

I forgot to add that he did want us to write a letter to the judge explaining why we had so much debt. Our lawyer said that was how the judge wants it to be when you have alot of debt. She just said to basically write that we did alot of over spending and that this would never happen again. As alot of you already know, alot of our debt was due to gambling and thats why we were so nervous about things, but it was never mentioned and we can try to get around things by saying about the overspending, as my lawyer said... thanks again

I think it is lame you have to explain yourself to the judge. You shouldn't have to. It is a business decision that you made to be able to move on with your life.
Letter..plain and simple...We spent more than we made. Sincerely, The DebtorFiled - 12/24/08 (Merry Christmas Credit Cards!)
