    They Foreclose On My House!

So, as many of you know, I have surrendered my rental (investment) property last year. The lender was in the middle of a foreclosure and sent me at least 5 sale dates.

Today, I get an Notification of Deficiency!!! Yes, an NOD telling me that I have until July 3rd to cure the (now) 12+ months in arrears! (Yeah, if they had done what they were supposed to do last year... but that's another story).

In my mailbox, on the same day, I get a letter from the State indicating that I was recently notified by my Bank that I could be foreclosed upon. The letter tells me to call to save my home.

    What is going on?

I do not know anymore! They just don't want to sell it. It has been sitting there and me paying insurance on it... since last July. (I am not renewing the insurance in June.) This just is beyond my comprehension. They also paid the taxes (which they do, so that it doesn't get a tax certificate on it).

Go away! Please... just take it! Stop asking me. I "surrendered" it in a Bankruptcy. That pretty much tells you what I want to do with it.

I don't even know (or want to know) the condition of it. It was new in 2006 (when I bought it from unfinished spec inventory form the builder).

Oh well. Clean it up, and you can stay until they kick you out. LOL!

Woo Hoo! Florida here I come!

You can come over to Cal and stay at my place while I am in FL, I live in the heart of wine country!

Wish I could afford to get away. Unfortunately my weeks vacation benefit is about 25 hrs at minimum wage ( they don't include our tip income in the calculation)

And well, you know my credit situation

Wouldn't buy me a whole lot of fun at Disneyworld!

You should check out your rental's condition and see if you can make some money on it renting it as a vaction rental.

My boss does it for a home she owns in wine country and she gets about a 1000.00/week for it. Don't know how that would work in a 13, but maybe you could do a house swap thingy and treat yourself to a week away with someone that has a home in a place you want to go.

Get some rental furniture for a month and rent it furnished.

Is it in a vacationy type of place?

OR turn it in to a youth hostel, I am sure your lender would love that!

Maybe that would get them to foreclose sooner!

For my Chapter 13... I already pledged all rental income for it, to the Trustee. So, I'm not highly motivated to go out of my way incurring expense, just to hand it over to the Trustee. Besides, the last time I made it rent-ready, it cost me $2,500+.
