Sometime in all this mess I actually BELIEVED I WAS ENTITLED. Somehow my contribution to the human race meant I did not have to follow the rules like other people.

No matter what, something would CHANGE, something would HAPPEN. And I would be OKAY.

No dice.

It's never okay, unless you are in control of the situtation. I was not.

It is never too late to teach your kids the right thing. You can start by admiting the mistakes, and telling them what you learned, and that you do not want them to go down that path.

There is certainly a BIG difference between a HOUSE and a HOME. I want a HOME. And you know what? HOME is where you and your family can reside in peace.

I'm excited to give up this stress ridden house, that is 225% under water! I can continue paying but it won't do me any good. I might as well get rid of it while I can in the CH 13, cut my losses while I can, so when I'm out, It's a memory of a lesson well learned.


We owe $196K but the house next door just sold for 45K! Talk about an insult and a punch in the stomach. No way are we staying. The jig is up, and it is time to go. It's bitter sweet because we've been here about 10 years, and have had a great time here, but one thing in life is certain, and that is CHANGE.

Things will get better, and work out for you. Keep your head up, "be there" for your sons; as long as you can communicate with them, there's a chance. When they see that you are honest about your mistakes, and that you are learning from them (that's a process) they will respect you for that. It takes time, but they will.

Hey DMC, we saw the flood too late, but we're not going to hang around to continue to get sucked in.
