Do I get my title???

OK here is our deal

Last year when we filed our 13 we let my truck go back because of the cost. We kept the wifes car and my bike. Both are in the plan.

Well the car was almost paid off in Jan this year then it got totaled
We filed with the court to keep the money after the payoff to buy another car which we was granted. WOO HOOO..

OK so now to the question the bike will be paid off in 3 or 4 months. Will the title be mailed to me from the lender or will it go to the trustee? I am wanting to trade the bike for another and give a little cash to boot but can't if I don't have the title..

my jeep was paid off two months in my CH13 plan. Chrysler Financial mailed the title directly to the trustee . Trustee later mailed the title to me the following week. I think you'll probably need the trustee's permission to trade the bike in once its paid off though..

Thanks for the reply. My lawyer had told me that I can buy anything I want with cash so I don't really see why trading the bike will make it any different. If they can see I have X amount of cash that's not much different than trading the bike.. But I guess ya never know.....
