Job Hunt Prior to Filing Chapter 13

We are 3-4 months from filing Chapter 13 due to our business failing, and being responsible for personal guarantees made to creditors. Our income for the last 6+ months (Means Test) has been my wife's job (Military) and my military retirement pay. Should I actively seek employment? If I do, should I hold out for what I am looking for in salary and job, or should I settle for anything at this point? The odds of finding something in my area is limited, and may require me to relocate. Any suggestions?

I was advised by my attorney to wait off looking for a better job because the look back period will be 6 months. Currently I work P/T, but I could be making much more and have a full time position (maybe not in this economy , my attorney said that if I made more that it would only increase my DMI.
