When chatting with my attorney last week, I asked him what do I do if I get sued between now and July when I can file? He said, you can answer it, or wait and we will answer it in BK court. He said since the courts are pretty backed up right now, he doubts the creditor would even be able to get a court date by then, but if they did in the worst situation, they would win a judgement, and maybe "hit my paycheck" once before we file. I've not paid anyone in about a year. and I first starting telling them back in Oct we were filing....Thoughts?

Nobody can say with any degree of assurance if or when you may get sued.
July is only 3 months away. If you get sued it should be easy to delay the proceeding long enough to file and avoid wage garnishment. -
If you are sued, can that judgement be added to a ch 13 payback or do you have to file ch 7 to eliminate the judgement?Comment
