I just got this back from my attorney's office:

I am out of town this week, but you can go by the office and pick up a form to take to the car dealership. They will fill it out then you will bring it back to our office and we will fax it over to the trustee. It usually takes about 3 or 4 days to get approval back for you to get your new car.

But like I said we are gonna wait to see what the mechanic says. Hopefully at the most it'll need the oil leak fixed, timing belt, and just a transmission flush.

Have you asked your attorney yet what he/she will charge you to file the motion? Ours cost about $250.....

Do you have any cash to buy you u cheap beater to get you though until you are discharged?? I just found my son a 2000 Chev Cavalier w/140,000 miles on it for $695.

So far, so good. In fact, if you found something this reasonable, you could conceivably sell it for what you paid for it when you are ready to buy another vehicle. Never know what you will find if you shop around.........

Just got off the phone with the mechanic, he figures $900 for everything that's wrong with it. So we are going that route. Then hopefully it'll be good for at least another 100,000 miles.

Just wanted to let ya'll know. Thanks for all the suggestions.
