My 341 meeting was today. It was quick. After we were sworn it, he asked a few questions to verify who we were and that's it. so, does this mean the proposed plan and payment is okay? I would have thought if there were any problems then he would have said so today. Is this correct?

Congratulations on getting through your 341. I remember our attorney telling us that he can pretty much predict what the Trustee's objections would be by the questions she asks us. For example, she questioned our Life Insurance, Food and cable expense, and some other items. Sure enough, we received objections in all those areas. I hope you're one of the lucky ones! But remember, it is the Trustees job to object to something, as they are representing the creditors.

I guess I am a bit confused about it because two weeks ago I found on Pacer that the trustee had objected to the daycare expense and needed tax returns. Well, I sent in receipts and copies of the tax returns. The court issued a letter stating we were in compliance. Today, nothing was mentioned about any objections so I guess we have been cleared on those issues.

Generally speaking, though, the 341 Meeting usually gives you a glimpse at how the Trustee's office is thinking. If they had nothing to say about your petition and Plan then, they usually won't have much (or just very little) to say about your PlanChapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
