I am currently in a Chap 13. I got laid off in January and my unemployment just kicked in. My BK payment is $520, and I am wanting desperately to go back to school to get a better paying job, hopeful to get in some kind of program. All this being said I would love to keep my house, but I am unsure which route to take. I know some more info may be needed if so please ask. And please respond.

The first thing you need to do is relay what you posted on here to your attorney. Without any income, you will be unable to fund your Plan. You need income to be in a Chapter 13. In order to keep your house and stay in your Plan, you will need to find employment and look into going to school online or in the evenings/weekends. If you are unable to find employment, you may have to look into converting to a Chapter 7 and face the possibility of not being able to keep your house. Your attorney can go over all those figures for and with you to correctly advise you.
Best of luck to you._________________________________________
