Anyone filing a C13 in Kansas or Sedgwick County? I am turning all papers to my attorney today so we can file asap. I have a court date today for a credit card company suing me. Supposedly all I have to do is going in and fill out a form saying I agree or disagree with them (there are 71 pages of people due at 1:30 today). I am then filing an Answer, Request for Documents, etc., to stall them for 30 days.

I'd love to hear about your experiences in Kansas.

We filed our 13 in KS back in 2006, but not in Wichita.

Kansas is a more bk-friendly state than most. Hang in there. Tell the truth and don't hold any financial information back from your lawyer - you'll do fine.

Just answering your last sentence in a different way - I lived in Kansas (Junction City) for over two years back in the 70's. One of my daughters was born at Irwin Army Hospital at Fort Riley. Managed to see most of the state including Wichita. Gorgeous state...best of luck with your BK!
