Can you include amounts owed on utility bills in chapter 13 if you are past due? Has anyone included these in their plan?

I believe you can, however, during your stay, they cannot cut off your utilities, but you must keep paying on them, or the Court will allow the cut off. 'HubIf I knew it all, would I be here?? What happens (at least here in Michigan with DTE and Consumers Energy) is that the utility will start a new post-bankruptcy-filing account to which your new charges will be assessed. The old account will either be discharged (in a Ch 7) or a claim will be filed on that old account (in a Ch 13).
